Tehran is ready to resume nuclear talks with the United States as long as it is approached with "dignity" and "respect", Iran's foreign minister has declared.

The Iranian diplomat declared exclusively dialogue was effective, and revealed recent overtures had originated from mediators to restart discussions with the US government. He asserted Iran did not have undeclared nuclear sites, and Iran could not yet authorize the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit struck enrichment centers for safety concerns.

Navigating a Difficult Course

Araghchi is navigating a difficult route since Iran wishes not to appear to be operating from a stance of weakness, and he consistently maintained that Iran had emerged stronger militarily and psychologically from the Israeli-US attack on its nuclear sites in June.

He was talking at a strategic meeting in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to refine atomic fuel domestically that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the impasse in the previous talks.

Prior Discussions Unexpectedly Terminated

The previous five rounds of discussions between the United States and Iran were ended suddenly and bitter termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with Washington's assistance, struck Iranian nuclear sites in a two-week conflict that culminated with Donald Trump asserting the facilities had been destroyed. Subsequently, EU nations used their authority to reinstate international penalties, but Iran insists they have not had a substantial consequence.

Magic Solution Suggested

Iran's diplomats said they felt they had reached a "magic solution" to the enrichment issue in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an local partnership with American involvement could enrich uranium. The two nations would have been able to claim victory since domestic enrichment would have remained and the US could be confident that Iran's enrichment initiative was entirely non-military.

It had not been agreed in the negotiations that American atomic experts could function on Iranian soil, but that was a logical implication of the cooperative offer. Officials asserted three times they had achieved a deal with Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff only for the agreement to collapse due to "spoilers in Washington".

Current Status

Tehran representatives said the consortium offer was now no longer available, but it seems quite possible the offer could be resurrected in certain ways if discussions reopen.

The US president in recent days stated he had been obtaining communications that Iran sought to reopen negotiations, but confidentially Iranian officials state they are not yet obtaining consistent overtures from the United States either directly or from key regional mediators, such as Qatar, Egypt, Oman and the Saudi kingdom. The Iranian foreign ministry has been criticized of non-responsiveness in the aftermath of the US president's straightforward manner, but Iran asserts negotiations is not part of a show.

Diplomatic Position

In his speech to the gathering, designed to depict the US as a controlling nation that abuses the idea of worldwide standards, Araghchi stated the 12-day war showed the clash could not be settled by combat operations. He asserted the assaults started with a US demand for an unconditional Iranian surrender and culminated with an absolute demand for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is certain the opening assaults from Tel Aviv were mounted with complete American awareness and cooperation, making trust challenging to rebuild.

Dialogue Stays the Final Resolution

Araghchi declared: "Tehran was not the one that had deserted diplomacy; it was America and the European states that had consistently tried to enforce their will during the negotiations. Negotiations can still be viable and stays the final solution to address conflicts, but its requirements, guidelines and tenets must be followed."

"Provided that they speak to the nation of Iran with the approach of dignity and honor, they will obtain a reply in the same language."

Recovery and Reconstruction

In what is described by Tehran representatives as the struggle of repair and reconstruction, Araghchi stated he was assured Iran's defence capabilities "are much stronger than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been restored. We gained many lessons from this engagement; we have discovered our personal limitations and the vulnerabilities of the adversary."

He added: "We successfully passed this war. Our enrichment knowledge, which they aimed to obliterate, continues to exist. The facilities and gear, if damaged, will be restored; what is essential is the will of the Iranian people and then the national cohesion that they aimed at, but failed to destroy. The nation of Iran have developed more powerful, more cohesive, and more backing of the leadership and the state in the aftermath of this assault."
